Consultation or Intake?
Do I have to have a consultation before I schedule an intake?
Welcome to Hope Seay Counseling!
If you’re new to counseling or are resuming your counseling journey, you may be wondering if you should schedule a consultation or an intake.
If you’ve done your research — found my Google Business profile, read reviews, and explored my site — and you feel comfortable moving forward, I’m glad you’re here.
You may have found me through a Google search, Psychology Today, or a friend or family member. At Hope Seay Counseling it’s important that you feel comfortable beginning counseling well before your first full session. To give you a chance to get your questions answered and to meet me briefly before completing paperwork and scheduling a full visit, I offer a free virtual 15-minute consultation.
Some people find the free virtual 15-minute consultation helpful to ensure a good fit. Others feel ready to begin and prefer to bypass the consultation and schedule their first full session right away. I encourage you to choose the option that feels best for you.
If you’d like a virtual 15-minute consultation to ensure a good fit and ask questions, you can request one by clicking the button. If you’re ready to skip the consultation and schedule your first full session, you can proceed to book directly. If you have any questions about which option to choose, feel free to mention that when you request an appointment — I’m here to help.
