New School Year, New Opportunities
It’s September and by now many of us are in the swing of our back-to-school routines.
The beginning of the school year can be a good time to give thought to some of the changes you want to make in the upcoming year. It can be helpful to reflect on things from the previous year and consider what went well, what did not go well, what did you learn, and how do you want to apply what you have learned throughout the upcoming year.
Sometimes sorting through these thoughts can feel overwhelming. While you may be aware that you want to do a things differently, you may not know where to start.
Counseling can help get you started!
Meeting with a trained counselor can help break down and organize your thoughts while categorizing them and helping you identify your desired change while establishing a plan to bring about your objective.
At Hope Seay Counseling, my desire is for clients to have a clear direction of their goals for counseling. As such, we collaborate together to get an understanding of specific goals they want to achieve. Clients are provided with tools that act as a guide in our sessions and are effective in identifying what clients value, providing a place for them to recognize their goals, while offering them a plan-of-action to bring those ideas together and make them a reality in their lives.
Many people report that while in past counseling experiences they have left counseling feeling heard and lighter — they still find themselves unsure whether their sessions are actually helping them change. That uncertainty is understandable, and it’s one reason I offer a more intentional, measurable approach to counseling so you can see real progress and know your time and effort are producing results.
If this approach to counseling sounds like something you think might help you, let’s get in touch and explore together how you can practice tools and techniques that can bring about the lasting change you desire.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Take care!
Hope
